    Edward J. Ludwig '73 is chairman, president and CEO of BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company). This Fortune 500 global medical technology firm focuses on improving drug therapy, diagnosing infectious diseases and advancing research and discovery of new drugs and vaccines, and aims to improve health standards and access to healthcare around the world. Ludwig told students on one of his many visits to campus: "Holy Cross is a life-changing and a life-affirming institution. The things you learn here will make a positive difference in your life for a long time, and in ways you don’t yet understand."
